FYI - Art titles & known owners of John K Thompson, Jr. works include:  Little Rock Scenes 44/300 (Mr. & Mrs. Holt); Washington Scenes (Kim); Kansas City 271/500 (Cheryl); Chicago (unknown owners); St. Louis 1008/2000 "Gateway City" (Cyndi); Bicentennial of the United States 1776 - 1976 (Mike) & also (Cyndi); Little Rock Scenes 26/300 (Kelly); unknown number (Kim); Bastrop, LA 9/200 (Kay). Many, as you can see, own montage art by Mr. Thompson.  All are believed to be limited editions & signed by artist.

One listing on ebay of The Gateway City has a Buy It Now Price of $1200 & is shown as listed by Artist in Fort Lauderdale, FL as Item 130342420556.  Which artist?  I don't know.  Patsy  updated data on 5-23-10 @ 8 A.M.

The item that began the research is a certified 16 ½” x 22”, overall framed size of 28 ½” X 23 ½”, numbered and artist signed Limited Edition of Little Rock Scenes by Artist, John K. Thompson, Jr.  It is Number 44 of 300.  The official certificate of authenticity and registration is attached to the back certifying by signature and seal of  W. Griffin for Montage Design Ltd., 4379 Duncan, St. Louis,  Missouri  63110 that Little Rock Scenes was published in the year of 1977.  Certification states that “each scene has been hand-cast in composition marble and hand-colored, therefore, no two scenes are exactly alike in coloring or marbleized texture.”   

Further, it is certified that under instructions from the artist, all molds from the numbered limited edition will be destroyed thus ending the manufacturing of Little Rock Scenes.
